Literature Text

A god born of desert sands,
Has swept over our once pagan lands.
Under his gales, our rites did sink,
Till the world we knew was on the brink.
Men of cloth our eyes did fleece,
Till they thought our ways we'd cease.
Saved us all they claimed to have,
They'd mend our sins with hallowed salve.
But like spent fire in the dead of night,
Still our embers do carry light!
Reborn from ashes we have all been,
Still there is a fight to win!
Through eternity we shall carry the fire,
Till our bodies meet the funeral pyre!
A quicky. Decided to rhythm this one. Might be some grammar errors since i did this one so quick, but i will fix those as they are brought to my attention.

This inspires hope in me as well. The way you phrase everything is perfect. Very well done.
